North Myrtle Beach is located on the Atlantic
Ocean along the Northeastern South Carolina coastal area known
as the “Grand Strand”. In the 1960’s, the beach towns of Windy
Hill Beach, Crescent Beach, Ocean Drive Beach & Cherry Grove
Beach joined forces to form the City of North Myrtle Beach.
Nine pristine miles of wide sandy beaches and approximately
15 square miles of land define the City as a growing mix of

and multi-storied condominiums. Theatres, shopping centers,
restaurants, championship golf courses, city parks and other
amusements serve a population estimated at 12,000 and growing
with another 3.5 million annual visitors.
The Cherry Grove section offers some of the best fishing on
the Grand Strand. Several marinas in Cherry Grove offer charter
boats and deep sea fishing in the Gulf Stream of the Atlantic
Ocean.
Take a walk down Main Street and visit the unique boutiques
and locally owned businesses. This is also the birthplace of
the Shag, the official South Carolina State Dance. This dance,
born on the beach, combines fancy footwork and smooth moves.
North Myrtle Beach is a growing city that is carefully tended
